Kids and Cops Offshore Fishing is a golden opportunity for law enforcement and youth to engage in luxury offshore fishing, thanks to Project EmPOWER and our partners at FPL and the United Way. These monthly fishing excursions bring local law enforcement and youth within our service communities together to create amazing opportunities for healthy interaction and community engagement.

I have participated in two fishing excursions coordinated by StreetWaves. During these excursions with under-served youth, I saw the effects of what Maui Goodbeer envisioned. The smiles on their faces were priceless as they reeled in game fish such as a 40-pound Wahoo. This is an adventure they would have never experienced without the assistance of an organization like StreetWaves. Community service projects such as this is inspiring for both mentors and mentees and will leave an indelible mark on all who participate in this program.
