Our afterschool aquatics enrichment program is a vital opportunity for underserved children to learn about water safety and swimming skills. Did you know that according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), African American children are three times more likely to drown than their white peers? This statistic highlights the importance of providing access to swimming lessons and water safety education for all children, especially those from underrepresented communities.

In this program, children will have the chance to learn from experienced instructors in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will learn basic swimming strokes and techniques, as well as water safety skills that will help them to be more confident and comfortable in and around water. By building these skills, children will be better equipped to protect themselves and their peers from the dangers of drowning.
